I created this blog to share my journey of continual self-discovery and enlightenment. I wear many hats: wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, aunt, and problem solving professional. I’m Haitian American, born and raised in Chicago, and have been living in Texas for over 20 years. I’m an introvert, overachiever, breast cancer “thriver”, and recovering perfectionist.

Many layers make me who I am. In managing life’s ups and downs, I incorporate self-care strategies into my every day life. You’ll see in my blog that self-care can be simple and cheap.

Through my LIGHT lessons I’ve learned along the way, I hope to inspire people to try new things and take better care of themselves.
